Don’t Drink and Drive

Rest in Peace, Eli.

True story.

Years ago, my older brother [rest his soul] and I had an argument in a parking lot.

It was after a wedding and when the evening ended, he wanted to drive.

He asked me for the keys to the car and I said ‘no’.

“I’m driving.”

A few words were exchanged and the conversation was over.

Everyone got in the car and I drove us home.

A week ago, my 38 year old cousin gave his car keys to someone.

My cousin didn’t drive while under the influence.

Never did.

The person driving was speeding.

The was an accident.

Today, my cousin is being laid to rest.

Tragic.

Heartbreaking.

Can’t process.

Is this real?

Yes, it is.

Don’t drink and drive.

It saves lives.

Until the next,
