Tuesday, May 11th - Candi Waller, CEO, CWall Sports & Entertainment

Candi also known as "CWall" is the Founder and CEO of CWall Sports & Entertainment. A native of Gorgeous Prince George's County, Maryland, Candi has been an authentic lover of all sports since her childhood. She was such a sports fan at an early age that she notes one of her favorite childhood shows as the legendary "George Michael Sports Machine". Candi is a very proud graduate of Hampton University, The George Washington University and Columbia University. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Women in Sports and Events (WISE) and the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). She is the host of the weekly DC Sports talk show "Coaching from the Couch" and a co-host on the NBA podcast "The Triple W".

Thursday, May 13th - Chanel Zapata, Community Engagement Manager, SABR

Chanel joined the SABR staff in 2020 as the Community Engagement Manager after spending two years working at the Minor League Baseball headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she focused on multicultural marketing, spearheading the Hispanic, Latino/a and Latinx fan engagement initiative Copa de la Diversión. She also supported programs that reached out to the LGBTQ+ community and individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. She has also worked with Baloncesto Superior Nacional (Puerto Rico), the Burlington Royals, the New York Yankees, and Puerto Rico F.C. She was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and graduated from the University of Tampa with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and from Arizona State University with a master’s degree in Sport Law & Business.
