Tuesday, March 2nd - Nina Alexander-Hurst, Strategic Marketing and Communications Consultant

Nina is a lifestyle, content marketing, customer experience, and strategic partnerships expert who turns creative ideas into tangible action for both retail and hospitality. She has experience building out teams at startups, as well as Fortune 500 companies and is scrappy, data driven and extremely creative.

Currently a Strategic Marketing and Communications consultant for the newly opened Waldorf Astoria Maldives, Nina is living  on property for 3 months and creating and bringing to life a storytelling strategy for the resort meant to develop deeper emotional connections with guests. Prior to consulting, Nina was Senior Director of Global Brand Marketing and Partnerships, Luxury & Lifestyle at Hilton, where she managed brand partnerships and content marketing for Waldorf Astoria, Conrad and Canopy Hotels and Resorts. In this role, she structured, signed and implemented a global partnership with Waldorf Astoria and Aston Martin. In year one, Nina activated the partnership at 18 events globally, including a glamping activation at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, generating significant press, influencer engagement, and incremental revenue. She also revamped the luxury brand magazines and email marketing channels to increase content efficiency and user engagement.

Prior to Hilton, Nina was Vice President, Brand Marketing and Customer Experience at BaubleBar. She received multiple industry awards for her work building the SWAT Stylist customer engagement team (Service With Accessorizing Talent), in addition to strategizing and executing innovative brand partnerships and scaling influencer marketing strategies. Before that, Nina built a successful e-commerce business which sold replacement parts for Blackberry and iPhone. Nina has a B.A. in PR and Journalism from the University of Florida.

Thursday, March 11th - Brette Sadler, Global Head of Corporate Partnerships, MGM Resorts International

Brette began her sports and entertainment career working for the Florida Panthers Hockey Club/Sunrise Sports & Entertainment on a few teams including; ticketing, promotions and marketing partnerships.  She then joined Octagon in the Atlanta office, where she led The Home Depot’s partnerships with ESPN College GameDay, select teams, leagues and properties; such as USOC, Falcons, Braves, Hawks, AEG, NASCAR, as well as, oversaw hospitality programming, store events and The Home Depot Foundation Golf Program. After her six-year stint in Atlanta, Brette joined UFC in 2011 and led Global Marketing Partnership Activation, which included strategy, execution and development with partner such as; Anheuser-Busch, Harley-Davidson, Dodge, AirAsia, Modelo, Monster Energy, BodyArmor and MetroPCS.

After eight years with UFC, she took the Global Head of Corporate Partnerships role at MGM Resorts International. Her team is responsible for identifying impactful, likeminded brands and developing custom partnerships to drive revenue. Her team also oversees implementation, measurement and overall partner management. MGM partners include; Anheuser-Busch, Clorox, Fuelster, Coke and Pepsi.
