Everyone sees the world differently.
This year’s election is so important for many reasons.
For everyone it’s different.
Whether you are following or not.
Decided or undecided.
Regardless it’s important to me.
Early voting has started in many states.
There was a line at the voting location yesterday when we arrived.
As we were standing in line, there was a couple in front of us. They recognized the guy standing in front of them.
They exchanged hugs and started to catch up.
The interaction was between two men and one woman.
One guy says to the other “they aren’t going to let him get into office again.” My ears perked up, instantly.
They continued they chat. “They are going to take our guns.” I was completely fascinated. Who is taking your guns? I’m thinking to myself.
We get inside the center, the guy says, “Just tell him how to select the button for all Republican'.”
He checks in and is on his way to vote for this candidate. The other two people follow and vote for their candidate.
The story here isn’t about parties, it’s about how we all see the world differently.
Here were three people completed aligned on how one party is going to “do” something to them. Take their guns. Hold people back, etc.
Those details don’t matter for this post.
What matters is that everyone sees and hears things differently. You may say something and the person receiving the information may interpreted it completely different.
My late cousin Edward use to say “cada cabeza es un mundo aparte.” Translation every human head is a completely different world.
I witnessed this yesterday.
Get out and vote.
Use your vote.
It’s a privilege to cast a vote in this country.
Make sure to use it.
Until the next,
