Tuesday, March 30th - Meredith Conte, Vice President, Consumer & Ad Sales Marketing, TENGA

As Vice President of Consumer & Ad Sales Marketing for TEGNA, Meredith is responsible for positioning the company’s multimedia brands to both consumer and client audiences. In her role, Meredith provides leadership to a national collective of more than 350 marketers and creatives. She also oversees the TEGNA Design Tank – the company’s in-house production and design agency and TEGNA Marketing Solutions – the company’s in-house client solutions and B2B marketing team.

Recently, Meredith drove a nearly 20% increase in marketing-driven sales wins, led the marketing launch of TEGNA’s all-new mobile and streaming apps, rebranded TEGNA’s affiliates with an all-new visual and sonic identity and launched the company’s new podcasting arm, Vault Studios. She has also engineered new research methodologies to help TEGNA brands maintain relevance amidst massive disruption.

Prior to joining TEGNA, Meredith was Director of Marketing for TLC, part of Discovery Communications Inc. She developed TLC’s promotional strategy behind shows like Say Yes to the Dress, All-American Muslim, Breaking Amish, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and dozens more. She produced multiple award-winning campaigns including the network’s Royal Wedding stunt in New York City, the launch of Sarah Palin’s Alaska, and TLC’s wedding campaigns, which made the network the number one cable network for women 18-49 on Friday nights.

Prior to TLC, Meredith worked as Associate Director of Marketing for the National Geographic Channel building out marketing partnerships that extended the channel brand. Earlier in her career, Meredith worked as a Senior Associate for Brand Marketing with Burson-Marsteller amplifying brands like Amazon, Sony Electronics, Lincoln-Mercury and more. She graduated from Duke University and resides near Washington, D.C. with her husband and two children.

Thursday, April 1st - Sam Rapoport, Senior Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, National Football League

Rapoport has dedicated her career to creating innovative business models aimed at enfranchising marginalized populations in sport. With this focus, she has worked to shift and progress diversity hiring practices in football.

Rapoport catalyzed a movement for women in sports by creating a new diversity platform for the NFL, that has since been replicated by other professional sports leagues. Through this effort, 118 female coaching, scouting and operations candidates have been hired in the four-year period; a record number.

Prior to this role, Rapoport spent 6 years on the leadership team at USA Football where she created the Women's World Football Games, the largest women's tackle football event in the world.

Rapoport was recently named one of Sports Illustrated most Powerful, Most Influential and Most Outstanding Women in Sports and was included in The Athletic’s NFL 40-under 40. Last year, Rapoport was awarded the NFL Commissioner’s Award selected by Commissioner Roger Goodell (2019), Fortune 40 Under 40 (2019), and was recently named one of People Magazine’s 25 Women Changing the World. Rapoport has played football since the age of 14 as quarterback of several women’s tackle and flag football teams. She is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Canada and resides with her wife, Rebecca and son, Jordy in New York.
