Tuesday, December 15th - Carrie Leger White, Chief Operating Officer, AthLife

Carrie was named Chief Operating Officer of AthLife in September of 2013. In that capacity, she provides leadership over the day-to-day operations of AthLife, Inc. and the delivery of services on existing service agreements. Carrie also serves as a member of the NCAA staff focusing on Division 1 Academics.

Carrie comes to AthLife from North Carolina State University, where she served as Associate Athletic Director for Academics and Director of the Academic Support Program for Student-Athletes. In her role, she oversaw the Academic Support staff responsible for providing academic support and monitoring academic progress and continuing eligibility for over 550 student-athletes.

Prior to her second tour at NC State, she served as an Associate Director for Membership Service at the NCAA, focusing primarily on implementation of Division I academic reform efforts, academic outreach, and the management of partnerships to various academic associations, including the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) and the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletes (N4A).

Preceding her time at NC State, Carrie spent four years as the Director of Academic Progress and Life Skills Development at Elon University where she also earned her Masters degree in business administration.

Carrie is a member of the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A). A native of Vernon, Connecticut, Carrie earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Towson University where she participated on the gymnastics team.

Thursday, December 17th - Betsy (Rodriguez) Henao, Strategic Partner, WOW MKTG

Betsy has served as Strategic Partner at WOW MKTG for the past five years. In this role, Betsy manages client strategy and leads an experienced account service team to navigate client relationships and agency deliverables. Betsy is an innovative marketer able to leverage resources to develop and execute winning marketing programs.
Prior to joining WOW MKTG, Betsy held various positions including: Senior Director of Corporate Marketing at Simply Healthcare Plans, Southeast Advertising Manager for People en Español, and Group Account Director for Zubi Advertising.

With over 25 years of marketing, media, and account management experience, Betsy has served clients such as: University of Miami Health System, American Airlines, Ford Motor Company, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, SC Johnson, Miami Heat, and Wachovia (now Wells-Fargo).

Betsy has shown a proven ability to train, motivate and direct teams in the creation and implementation of a diverse range of advertising and marketing programs. She is well-known and respected in the advertising industry for her expertise, excellent work ethic, and her ability to rise to any occasion to provide outstanding service and results. She is also active in the community and is a proud past president of the American Advertising Federation of Miami. A mother of three teenagers, Betsy enjoys balancing the life of a career woman, wife, and mom.
